Personal Profile

About Me Graphic

In reality there isn't much to know about me. I live on a farm in a very rural town located in southeast Georgia known as Millen. I have one sister, Karen, who got married in June 2005. She and my brother-in-law, Josh, reside in Trumann, Arkansas. I am described by those who know me best as a carefree person that has yet to meet an enemy and will provide an open ear to anyone. I generally don’t have much to say, but I am willing to express my opinion when I feel injustice is being served.

Education Background

I graudated with honors as class Salutatorian from Jenkins County High School in May 2003. Immediately, I enrolled in the College of Information Technology at Georgia Southern University located in Statesboro, Georgia to pursue a Bachelors of Science degree in Information Technology. I graduated from GSU on December 8, 2006. I chose the specialization of telecommunications and network administration with a second discipline in management. During my tenure as an IT student, I returned to my alma mater to complete my required internship. I worked daily with the technology coordinator performing tasks in the areas of desktop support, network administration, database development, and project management. Upon graduating from this undergraduate university, I enrolled in the Church of God Theological Seminary to pursue a Masters of Divinity degree with a concentration in ministerial leadership.

Technology Skills

At the present time, I do not hold any professional IT certifications; however, I plan to pursue the basic certifications (A+, Network+, Linux+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Certified Novell Administrator) beginning in January. My college coursework and experience has provided me with the proficient level skills in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook, Frontpage, Project, and Visio) and the Macromedia development suite (Dreamweaver and Fireworks). Other areas of technology skill include desktop support and computer repair, project management, database management, high-end consultation, website design and web application development, server management, and network setup and administration. I am capable of using the Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.

My programming experience includes Visual Basic, Java, Javascript, JSP, PHP, CSS, and HTML. Database experience embraces the Microsoft Access, mySQL, and Oracle technologies. I have minimal experience in graphics design also.

Throughout the years, I have completed numerous IT-related projects for various businesses, organizations, and individuals in my area including the Jenkins County Family Enrichment Commission, Jenkins County School System, Truck-Aid Insurance Agency, Millen Milers Running Club, Kellwood Manufacturing and Construction, and The Church of God. Church Background

I have been actively involved in The Church of God all of my life. My calling into the ministry came in January 2003 at the age of seventeen. My local church set me forth as a lay minister in October 2003. I spent the next year and a half studying the Word and proving my ministry. I was presented with my evangelist license in January 2005.

Throughout the years of my involved with my local church, I have had the opportunity to fulfill nearly every aspect of responsibility. I have served locally as the Church of Prophecy Marker Association leader (current appointment), Victory Leaders Band coordinator, Assembly Band Movement leader, Sunday School superintendent, teen class Sunday School teacher, adult class Sunday School teacher (current appointment), and Youth Life Team Director. In October 2003 the state overseer of Georgia appointed me as the state Church of Prophecy Marker Association Coordinator. I have served in that capacity since that time (presently as regional coordinator for both Florida and Georgia).

Although I love the work of the CPMA Ministry, my favorite part of the ministry is working with young people through the camping ministries. One of my favorite times of the year is Youth Camp week. I began attending Georgia Youth Camp in 1995 and have not missed a year since. I have now "graduated" from being a camper, and I volunteer as staff at camps ranging from Florida/Georgia to Wisconsin/Iowa/Illinois to Kentucky/Indiana/Ohio.

Hobbies

In my spare time I enjoy both listening and playing music. I have been blessed with the ability of play the piano, guitar, bass guitar, drums, trumpet, and saxophone. I also love watching and playing baseball.
